The glint from speckled sky,
with gladness fills the eye,
teardrop on dark grass gently splashes,
squeezed out between long, long lashes.
Between dusk and dawn all ephemeral,
shadows linger, but none are fearful,
the mist and fog intermingle,
loving cover’s caress hides the tearful.
Quiet and solitude almost deafens,
crumbling earth and lofty heavens,
scurried feet pitter and patter,
noises resound in rain’s hurried spatter.
Vapid light on horizon drifts,
day and night’s balance slowly shifts,
vie for power, they fight,
say goodbye to the night.
